VISI is a free real-time speech captioning tool. It uses your device's microphone to convert speech into visible text on your screen. That's all it does.
VISI uses your device's built-in speech recognition service to convert speech to text. On iPhones and Safari, speech is processed by Apple. On Android and Chrome, speech is processed by Google. VISI does not operate its own speech recognition — it relies entirely on your device's existing service.
This means your speech audio is handled by Apple or Google according to their respective privacy policies, not by VISI. VISI never receives, processes, or has access to your raw audio data.

We do not record or store any audio. We do not store or log any transcribed text. We do not collect your name, email, location, or any identifying information. We do not use cookies, analytics, or tracking of any kind. We do not require an account or login. There is no server that receives your data — VISI runs entirely in your browser or on your device.
VISI requests access to your device's microphone solely to enable real-time speech recognition. Microphone audio is streamed directly to your device's speech recognition engine (Apple or Google) and is not intercepted, recorded, or stored by VISI at any point.
You can revoke microphone access at any time through your device or browser settings.
VISI uses Google Fonts to load typefaces (Inter, Anton, Libre Baskerville, Atkinson Hyperlegible). Google Fonts may log standard web request data (IP address, browser type) per Google's privacy policy. No other third-party services are used.
VISI does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since VISI collects no data at all, there is no data to protect or delete.
If VISI ever introduces features that involve data collection or processing, this privacy policy will be updated before those features are released. Any significant changes will be noted on the VISI website.
